On September 11, 2008 at sunrise, Cub Scout Pack 55 will begin setting up a flag display on the Yuma Elks Lodge #476 sand hill between the Lodge and 24th Street across from YRMC.
These flag dedications are part of Pack 55’s fund raising program. They have been very successful in this endeavor including just this past Memorial Day when they posted 151 US Flags in an impressive display.
A dedication tag is purchased in memory of, or to honor a loved one, and attached to a flag pole. The process of placing these flags takes several hours, the display is left up until approximately sundown, when they are then removed and packed away by the troop.
This Remembrance Flag Event is performed three times a year by Cub Scout Pack 55; Memorial Day, September 11th, and Veterans Day, each holiday the flags are flown on Lodge grounds.

Wednesday, July 23, 2008, Yuma Elks Lodge #476 held another Blood Drive at our Lodge. This drive was sponsored by United Blood Services. We had a good turnout, even had a few 1st Time Donors and Family Group Donors!
